Delivery and Shipping Details

Our residential customers receive their orders through two different methods - Free Local Delivery or Shipped.

Local delivery is available to all of Peel and Halton, and parts of Wellington, Simcoe, Dufferin, York and Toronto. To see if you're in our local delivery area, click the link below.


If you're outside our local delivery area, we ship our orders through Canada Post. 

Currently, we only ship to Canadian addresses.


Local Delivery:

  • Delivery will occur on Friday or Saturday. Please select the appropriate delivery option when you check out.
  • For delivery of retail orders on Friday or Saturday of the current week, your order must be in by 11:59pm Thursday night. For By the Case orders, your order must be received by noon on wednesday.
  • If there are no specific delivery instructions, the order will be left at the front door.
  • We recommend leaving a cooler in the delivery area to protect your order from the elements, especially if you have ordered any frozen products.
  • Unless otherwise specified, we will knock or ring the doorbell once, then drop the order in the designated area.
  • Our General Delivery hours are 9am to 7pm. While we will try to accomodate requests, we can't guarantee that we will be able to make any delivery at or by a specific time.
  • Often times, our deliveries occur when the customer is not home. If you would prefer that not be the case, we have arranged it so that the Canada Post shipping option is available to everyone in the local delivery area as well. Flat Rate for Ontario addresses is $8.00.
  • In the case that we are unable to deliver your order on the assigned delivery day (due to inclement weather, mechanical failures, etc.), we will contact you via the ordering system using the email address you attached to your order. Alternate delivery arrangements will be made in order to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Shipped Orders:

  • All of our shipping is done through Canada Post.
  • Most orders will ship out on the first Friday after they are received.
  • If you order any product that is frozen, you do so with the understanding the product will likely come to you in a thawed state. For this reason, we can not ship anything that will pose a safety risk if it thaws in transit. Such products will be identified as "Local Delivery Only" in the product description. Any shipped order that contains these products will be held until we are able to contact the customer.             
  • If you order any frozen items, your order will be held to ship on Monday, to avoid having the frozen items sit at Canada Post over the weekend, getting stale.
  • Frozen items WILL NOT BE SHIPPED outside of Ontario.
  • Flat Rate Shipping - $8.00 to Ontario and $12.00 to the rest of Canada. Please note that we don't charge for handling, and these rates are less than we pay to ship your order.
  • We DO NOT ship "By the Case" items, unless by special request. You can send your request to mailbox@gluten-free-grocery.com .
Our Business Customers have a Different Delivery System.

  • All orders to businesses are delivery orders - we don't currently ship products to business addresses.
  • Orders can be delivered Mon-Fri. Please note in the delivery instructions area if there are any restrictions to your receiving hours, as well as what entrance to your business to use. Delivery must be at least 48 hours after your order is sent in.
  • There are different minimum order requirements for business orders, you can see them here. If you're area is not listed, please send an email to mailbox@gluten-free-grocery.com and we will let you know the minimum order is for your area.
